Lorraine Spradley Wilson is the Founder of Blue Horizon Economy, a strategy advisory firm guiding companies ranging from early-stage startups to publicly traded corporations. She is a Board Advisor to ED4S, an education technology company training financial services professionals on sustainability integration, and serves as Senior Advisor to the Council on Global Competition and Innovation (CGCI), where she helps shape frameworks for mobilizing private capital into eight critical sectors tied to national security, from AI and quantum to food security, energy transition, and advanced manufacturing.
Lorraine is an Advisor to NYU’s Center for Sustainable Business, a member of US SIF: The Forum for Sustainable and Responsible Investment, and a member of the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD). In 2024, she served as Executive in Residence at NYU, and she is a frequent guest lecturer on sustainability and investment strategy.
Previously, Lorraine was Chief Sustainability Officer at Novata, where she helped scale a platform for sustainability data in private markets and designed training modules for global asset managers and private equity firms. During her tenure, Novata received multiple industry recognitions, including the Private Equity Wire U.S. Award for Best ESG Solution Provider (2022), The Drawdown ESG Technology Awards (2023 and 2024), and the Network 20/20 Global Innovators Award (2022). Earlier in her career, at Bank of America Merrill, she led due diligence efforts that earned industry recognition for innovation and client impact.
Lorraine’s individual honors include the NYU Stern Center for Sustainable Business 2023 Alumni Honor Roll Award and recognition as a semi-finalist for the global Black Women in Asset Management (BWAM) Awards in the Sustainability category. Earlier in her career, she was selected as a member of the Inaugural Economic Club of New York Fellowship and served on the Junior Council at the American Museum of Natural History. Lorraine is also a committed supporter of charitable organizations focused on education.
Her professional experience spans the intersection of capital markets, innovation ecosystems, and sustainability across the U.S. and international markets. She has collaborated with asset managers, venture capital and private equity firms, governments, and multilateral organizations to align investment with long-term economic resilience. Lorraine holds a B.A. in Government from Georgetown University and an MBA from New York University.
